Winther Score (WNT)
Winther Score (WNT) = 100 × ∑ᵢ [ (Pᵢ / N) × (rᵢ + Pᵢ / (2N)) ]
∑ᵢ = sum over all opponents faced
rᵢ = your result against opponent i (1, ½, 0)
Pᵢ = opponent i's final tournament score
N = total number of rounds in the tournament
Pᵢ / N = opponent's score share (ratio expressed as a decimal between 0 and 1)
When players finish tied on points, they are separated based on the quality of the opposition they have faced. This new method provides a fairer reflection of player performance than traditional tie-break systems, consistently rewarding those who compete on the top boards. Withdraw Player
